Uniform temperature is maintained throughout the cooling process. CNC based controlled panel keep a continuous track of the entire manufacturing process. From roughing mill the material moves to intermediate mill where it is further rolled to appropriate size and shape and move ahead to the finishing mill stand. Here at the final finishing mill stand the rolls are designed to ensure that high depth ribs are uniformly marked along the length of the bar.

At Roopam this is possible because of computerized notch cutting machines. We were the first ones in Maharashtra to begin using notch cutting machine to get a uniform ribbed pattern on the rebar. But we did not stop here. To ensure that our rebars genuinely provide the ultimate bonding with concrete, we kept exploring for new researches, until we came across the recommendations of the American Concrete Institute. Our research showed that so important was the role that the ribs play in reinforcement that they can be very well

In the Roopam rebar, you will find closely and uniformly spaced ribs, inclined to a predetermined degree, with plenty of depth provided by elevated ribs that allow more concrete for better grip.

A strong bond, apart from providing a better grip, ensures that no air gets into the otherwise characteristically porous nature of cement preventing any possibility of oxidation. Once we succeed in arresting oxidation we can be assured that we have gained the ultimate in RCC – a structure forever free from cracks.

 

From finishing stand ribbed bars pass through the water quenching box where the mechanical properties are induced using controlled quenching process.

 

This process is supported by the world renowned Thermex Technology of Germany and enhanced suitably to dual quenching process.
